The GIF 2002 is a TEM energy filter optimized for high-resolution EFTEM imaging. Its 2K x 2K sensor features high sensitivity and large pixel size for optimum detection quantum efficiency (DQE) for low-contrast specimens that must be imaged at low dose. The GIF 2002 is thus well suited to applications in structural biology and for imaging of other beam-sensitive samples.
