Object of play

The game tries to simulate an good entry queue and how to visualize if the supply of goods is bigger than the room in a warehouse.

Number of players

Groups of 2, Limited by # dice you have and the room

Duration of play

30 minutes

How to play

The game tries to simulate an good entry queue and how to visualize if the supply of goods is bigger than the room in a warehouse. Have each group of players throw dice and record the waiting line

  • One dice represents the # goods in a new truckload
  • The other dice represents the # open places in the warehouse

Play three rounds:

  • In the first round calculate the average length of the waiting line with 0 extra spots
  • In the second round calculate the average length of the waiting line with 1 extra spot
  • In the third round calculate the average length of the waiting line with 2 extra spots
  • In the last round calculate the average length of the waiting line with 3 extra spots

Throw 20 rounds. The punch line of this exercise is that the queue will explode if you model the capacity equal to the demand.
