M17-S4 - Value Stream Mapping

A Value Stream Map is a Lean Manufacturing technique that maps a process and tries to identify steps that introduce Waste. For each process step two important values are characterized:

• Production Lead Time
• Value Added Time

The ratio between Production Lead Time and Value Added Time should not be bigger than 5.
