A fundamental characteristic of many entrepreneurial ventures is the unbalance between the resources required to capitalized an opportunity and those available. The bundled nature of most resources for an entrepreneurial firm requires a mapping technique to unbundle the various components and their contribution to the firm. The 12 dimensional model below may help to analyze the quality and appropriateness of any bundled offering:
| Financial characteristics | Non-financial characteristics |
|---|---|
| Cost of money | Speed of decision |
| Fund-Raising Expenses | Industry/Product Knowledge |
| Depth of pockets | Management Skills |
| Collateral requirements | Flexibility |
| Risk-Bearing Abilities | Other resources |
| Reputation / Signaling | Control tendencies |
