In the general framework for mapping resources proposed by Benoit F Leleux the following points are made with respect to the speed of decision:

Investors face different decision models in reaching their investment decisions:
- Some are required by law to very detailed document their project
- Others are bound by multi hierarchy
- Some can decide in minutes

For a startup, it is relevant to know at which speed you can expect your capital source to decide.
